Programs

You can find information about the programs available at the conference of 2017 below. Further information (such as country allocation and study guides) will be distributed once the first day of the conference approaches. Delegate program

This is a bachelor’s program, in which you will adopt the role of a country’s diplomat your choice, in a United Nations Committee of your choice.

Chair program

In the chair program, you will have the responsibility to actively guide and chair the meetings of a specific committee. MUN experience is required for this program.

International Court of Justice Lawyer Program

In the International Court of Justice Lawyer (ICJ) program, you can take the position of a lawyer in the ICJ court case simulation (Moot Court principle). This program allows you to deepen and to broaden your knowledge of law as an academic subject and assist your development as a legal professional. You and your team will investigate and plead in a thrilling case before the ICJ Judges. A background in law is required for this program.

International Court of Justice Judge Program

In the ICJ Judge program, you can take the position of a judge to experience what it is like to uphold the rule of law in an ICJ court simulation. You will be in charge of the court and write a judgement or dissenting opinion. This program allows you to deepen and to broaden your knowledge of law as an academic subject and assist your development as a legal professional. A background in law is required for this program.

Journalist Program

In the Press Department you can experience what it is like to be a journalist and gain 6 EC by actively participate at the UNISCA summer school 2017. You will write reports, opinions and in-depth articles on everything that occurs during UNISCA 2017. You will be able to interview lecturers, delegates, lawyers and judges and write for the daily UNISCA newspaper during the conference week. All these will be possible by being a media representative in the committee of your preference. The daily newspaper will be published under the guidance of the Chief Editor and the Deputy Chief Editor. The UNISCA Journalist Program is a unique opportunity to experience the practice of journalism in a dynamic international environment.
