But here's where it gets controversial: Witness C claims that Nkosi regularly collected money from cartel members for Sibiya. The witness further alleges that Nkosi facilitated bribe payments from Molefe and another controversial figure, Vusimuzi 'Cat' Matlala, who faces corruption charges.
The plot thickens as the commission hears that Sibiya received millions in cash from Matlala, with Nkosi allegedly acting as the delivery person. Matlala is said to have gifted Sibiya with not only millions in cash but also 20 impalas, according to the witness.
The alleged corruption doesn't stop there. In January, R2 million in cash was reportedly delivered to Sibiya's residence, and on another occasion, Sibiya instructed Matlala to hide a significant sum of money in a dustbin at his office for collection.
As investigators dig deeper, they are analyzing Matlala's bank accounts to trace the flow of illicit funds. The story takes an unexpected turn when, just days after Nkosi's visit to Molefe's mansion, Molefe is arrested in a joint operation, which was allegedly interfered with by members of the Hawks.
